The Forum’s self-perception includes equal opportunities and equality as well as a trusting working atmosphere. In its commitment to equal participation, the Forum pursues an intersectional approach that takes into account the intertwining of aspects of gender justice with other dimensions of inequality. It advocates a diverse understanding of gender beyond the binary model and essentializing role concepts. The Forum’s commitment to equality is understood as a cross-cutting task that should be part of the organizational culture at all levels and an integral part of the reflection processes in the research context. The aim is to create a diverse, inclusive, non-discriminatory environment and to contribute to social awareness of equality and equal opportunities through reflective knowledge production.
