Members’ Assembly

Members’ Assembly

The Forum is constituted by its members. Full members of the association are institutions that conduct transregional studies. These can be universities and non-university research institutions with their own legal personality, based in Berlin or elsewhere. The application for admission of a new member is to be addressed in writing to the Board.

The Members’ Assembly is the central organ of the Forum. It deliberates on questions of its general development, both institutionally and with regard to its tasks, on thematic focal points, individual research projects, initiatives or science communication measures. In order to prepare decisions on applications and on longer-term invitations of scientists or the longer-term commitment to certain topics or projects, it can make recommendations and determine in individual cases to what extent external experts should be consulted. The Members’ Assembly receives reports from the Board and the Managing Director. The Members’ assembly comments on the annual report of the board and the annual financial statement. It recommends to the Board of Trustees the discharge of the Board.
