According to § 2, paragraph 2 of the Forum’s statute, discussing questions of scholarly ethics, which might arise from the tasks, work, and goals of the Forum, belong to the statutory responsibilities of the Forum.  To fulfill this task, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors or their representative will, if necessary, call on an Ethics Committee to advise on and assess questions concerning the ethics of research projects at the Forum. Independent of the advice and assessment of the Ethics Committee, researchers at the Forum remain responsible for their actions.
