Research Programs
Research programs are at the center of the Forum’s work. We initiate and carry out research programs that connect disciplinary and region-specific topics with a transregional perspective. Within its programs, the Forum grants research fellowships to postdoctoral scholars and provides them with organizational support.
Academic Events
Workshops, seminars, and Transregional Academies offer space for scholars to discuss transregional issues, to develop new projects and to establish research-based networks. Our events encourage knowledge transfer and an interested public to participate in academic debates.

Communication
Through its communication, the Forum supports the exchange and networking of researchers across disciplinary, regional and language boundaries. It publishes contributions to debates, reports and interviews with researchers and develops formats of knowledge transfer via its scientific blogs and its open access and print publications.
