We are welcoming our 28 postdoctoral Fellows from different countries and disciplines at the Forum Transregionale Studien. In the framework of its programs Art Histories and Aesthtic Practices, Europe in the Middle East—The Middle East in Europe (EUME), the Irmgard Coninx Prize Fellowship for Transregional Studies, and our new Berlin-Brandenburg Ukraine Initiative the Fellows will work on their research projects and participate in numerous discussions and networking opportunities.

We are welcoming our 28 postdoctoral Fellows 2015/2016
This year, their research projects will center on sectarian and social conflicts in Istanbul, narratives of flight and migrations across the Mediterranean, the role of the worker’s movement in Egypt, the youth in the Arab world, foreign cultural policy during the Cold War, the reasons for religious freedom in the Quran, the history of the museum in Sudan and the Sudanese collections in Berlin, examinations of the global avantgarde, the interrelation of aesthetic practices and the ecology of art, and modernist movements and concepts in the arts and architecture in India or Turkey, among others.
You will have a detailed overview of the research projects in our brochure “Programs and Fellows 2015/2016” and our Fellow database. You are cordially invited to the seminars of the research programs in which the Fellows present and discuss their projects.
