The Forum Transregionale Studien welcomes its Fellows of 2014/2015

This academic year, the Forum Transregionale Studien supports 28 researchers i.a. from India, China, Syria, Israel, Jordan, Turkey, Hungary, the USA and Argentina. The Fellows will be working on their own research projects and on joint issues in the research programsArt Histories and Aesthetic Practices, Europe in the Middle East—The Middle East in Europe (EUME), and Zukunftsphilologie.

Main research topics of this year’s Fellows will be the consequences of the Arab Spring for the politics of memory in Egypt and Palestine and the philosophical question of a vision for the post-revolutionary Arab world. In the sense of a plural history of artistic practices, research projects on anti-illusionism and abstraction in Indian art will expand the space of discourse among Islamic, Asian, African, and European art histories.

Detailed information on the Fellows and their research projects can be found in the Fellow database.
