Mykola Homanyuk is an associate professor at the Kherson State University. He graduated from Kherson State Pedagogical Institute and defended his PhD thesis in sociology at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. He was a fellow at the Indiana University (IU-Ukraine Nonresidential Scholars Program), and s fellow at Petro Jacyk Non-Resident Scholars Program (University of Toronto). In 2022-2023, he has been a member of the Prisma Ukraine: War, Migration, Memory research group (Forum Transregionale Studien in Berlin). In 2018, he won the ADAMI Media Prize for Cultural Diversity in Eastern Europe. At present his main research interests are in the sphere of ethnic sociology, commemoration and toponomy.
Hristo Kyuchukov, an esteemed linguist with multiple doctoral degrees in linguistics, pedagogy, and education theory, is a renowned professor at the University of Silesia. He specializes in the Romani language and Roma education, enjoying a global reputation. His research also encompasses the Romani Holocaust, anti-Roma prejudice in Europe, and Balkan Turkic languages. One of his notable achievements is the introduction of Romani language education in primary and secondary schools, promoting the learning of Roma children's mother tongue. Hristo Kyuchukov serves as an editor for academic journals, reinforcing his influential role in Romani studies.
Janush Panchenko is a Ukrainian ethnographer, specializing in the study of the culture and language of the Roma in Ukraine. Born in the city of Kakhovka, he comes from a family of settled Roma in the second generation and became the first Roma in his city to receive a university education. Janush is the author of bilingual children's textbooks designed for Roma students. His contribution to the development of Roma culture has been recognized with the Ronald Lee Award. Currently, Janush is a Ph.D. student at Zaporizhzhia National University and fellow of Indiana University non-residential program.
