- Confrontations Beyond Comparison
Rechtskulturen: Confrontations Beyond Comparison (Justice Professor Susanne Baer / Professor Christoph Möllers, both Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin / Coordination: Alexandra Kemmerer, Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin) is a Postdoctoral Fellow Program that has been conceived as a central element of the Berlin research network Recht im Kontext, funded by the City of Berlin since October 2009 and based at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin. The research network Recht im Kontext aims to enhance, from a genuinely legal perspective, a re-contextualization of legal phenomena in the wider field of the humanities and the cultural and social sciences. It shall create spaces of reflection and communication where fundamental and salient questions of the law and its context(s) can be re-negotiated and re-connected with jurisprudence and legal methodology. Within the research network, Rechtskulturen is crucial for the modification of research questions in transregional constellations.
